This Privacy Policy explains how Tap Node S.A.L (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses information when you use the DocPix application and related services (the “Service”).
1) Overview
DocPix helps users create document-style photos for passports, visas, IDs, driver's licenses, custom sizes, and related use cases. We use limited information to operate the Service, improve performance and reliability, and improve the quality of ads shown in the app. We design our data practices to avoid collecting information that directly identifies you where possible.
2) Information we collect
a) De-identified usage and device data
We may collect de-identified information such as app interactions, feature usage, approximate region (for example, country), device type, operating system version, app version, language, diagnostics, crash logs, and performance metrics.
b) Advertising and measurement
We may process de-identified or aggregated signals to measure advertising performance and improve ad quality, for example to reduce irrelevant ads or detect fraud. This information is not intended to identify you as a person.
c) User content
The Service allows you to take, import, generate, edit, and export photos and related document photo outputs (“Content”). Content is treated as under your control and is used to provide the Service's core functions. We do not use your photos or documents to attempt to identify you.
d) Permissions
Depending on the features you use, the Service may request access to device permissions such as camera, photo library, files, or tracking permissions where applicable. These permissions are used to provide the requested functionality and can be managed through your device settings.
3) How we use information
- provide and maintain the Service,
- enable photo creation, editing, background cleanup, export, and related features,
- improve features, usability, and reliability,
- troubleshoot issues and prevent abuse or security incidents,
- understand which features are helpful and optimize the user experience,
- measure and improve ad quality and basic campaign effectiveness.
4) How we share information
We do not sell information intended to identify you.
We may share limited de-identified or aggregated information with:
- service providers, such as analytics, crash reporting, infrastructure, or technical service providers, to help operate the Service,
- advertising and measurement partners to support ad delivery and effectiveness measurement,
- third-party services or APIs that support specific app functionality.
These parties are permitted to process information only for the purposes described and consistent with their roles.
5) Third-party services and APIs
Some functionality may rely on third-party services or APIs, for example analytics, advertising, infrastructure, photo processing, AI-assisted features, or technical integrations. These services operate under their own terms and policies. While we choose providers carefully, we cannot control or be responsible for actions or interruptions that occur outside of our reasonable control.
6) Data retention
We retain de-identified usage and measurement data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the Service, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.
7) Your choices
- limit certain analytics or advertising permissions through your device settings,
- reset or restrict advertising identifiers where applicable,
- manage camera, photo library, and file access through your device settings,
- uninstall the app to stop further collection from that device.
8) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9) Children's privacy
The Service is not intended for children under the age where parental consent is required. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10) Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date and publish the latest version on this page.
